The teams toal points were 99.050 with a score of 26.900 on vault, 22.200 on bars, 24.800 on beam, and 25.150 on floor. </description><link>http://www.auburngymnasticsacademy.com/NewsView.aspx?id=218</link><pubDate>Sun, 20 Sep 2009 18:00:00 GMT</pubDate></item><item><title>AGA Optional Gymnasts Compete at State Championships</title><description>&lt;i&gt;Bailey Mims crowned Level 7 Vault State Champion&lt;/i&gt;
&lt;P&gt;Huntsville, Ala.--&lt;/B&gt; The Auburn Gymnastics Academy optional level gymnasts competed this past weekend at the 2009 Alabama State Championships hosted at the Von Braun Center in Huntsville. 
&lt;P&gt;Taylor Ann Atkins at level 7 posted the highest AGA all-around score at 36.525 to finish in 5th place overall in her age group. Kayla Menhe (level 7) posted a 36.225 to finish in fourth place all-around in her age group.
&lt;P&gt;Bailey Mims (level 7) captured the 2009 level 7 Vault Championship en route to a sixth place finish all-around in her age group.  Chandler Ferguson (level 8) qualified for the 2009 Regional Championships with her 7th place all-around finish.

&lt;P&gt;Not competing due to injury was senior gymnast Pamela Sanasith (level 10). Mills Named to SEC Gymnastics Community Service Team</title><description>&lt;P&gt;&lt;B&gt;BIRMINGHAM, Ala. -&lt;/B&gt; Auburn senior gymnast A.J. Mills has been named to the Southeastern Conference Gymnastics Community Service Team the league office announced Wednesday. The Gymnastics Community Service Team represents seven SEC gymnasts, one from each competing institution and looks to highlight a student-athlete who gives back to their community in superior service efforts.
&lt;P&gt;During the 2008-09 year, Mills has participated in a variety of community service projects. In October she ran in the Tough Ten Tough Two Race for Breast Cancer sponsored by the East Alabama Medical Center and participated in the Cater Hall Illumination for breast cancer awareness. 
&lt;P&gt;Mills also ran in the Read to Run Race and Relay for Life. She was a part of Auburn’s Downtown Trick or Treating, Toys for Tots Drive and helped serve Christmas dinner to the underprivileged at the Wayside Christian Mission. 
&lt;P&gt;On campus she was a part of The Big Event, writing letters of encouragement and baking cookies for soldiers overseas. She was active in the SEC’s “We Can” Food Drive and is a Big Sis in the Auburn gymnastics Big Sis/Lil Sis program. Mills currently serves as Auburn’s Student-Athlete Advisory Committee president.</description><link>http://www.auburngymnasticsacademy.com/NewsView.aspx?id=206</link><pubDate>Wed, 18 Mar 2009 10:46:00 GMT</pubDate></item><item><title>AGA Hosts 1st Annual Auburn Classic</title><description>&lt;P&gt;&lt;B&gt;Auburn --&lt;/B&gt; The Auburn Classic gymnastics meet at Auburn High School attracted over 200 gymnasts from Alabama, Georgia, Tennessee, Florida and Louisiana. Gymnasts competed at USAG levels 3-10 and Prep-Optional. 

&lt;P&gt;Two AGA gymnasts produced first-place All-Around results, Chandler Ferguson (level 8) and Bonnie Zhoa (level 5), while Taylor Ann Atkins (level 7) scored a 37.250 All-Around to pace all AGA gymnasts at the meet.  In all 23 AGA gymnasts had at least one top-three finish.

The weather might have been spring like... but the AGA team had spring in their routines and several turned in top-3 finishes.
&lt;P&gt;Only seven of AGA's gymnasts competed and they turned in 16 top-3 finishes.

The meet will be held at the Auburn High School Gymnasium.</description><link>http://www.auburngymnasticsacademy.com/NewsView.aspx?id=201</link><pubDate>Wed, 11 Mar 2009 05:44:00 GMT</pubDate></item><item><title>AGA Gymnasts excel at JFJ Elite Cup</title><description>&lt;P&gt;&lt;B&gt;Hoover, Ala.--&lt;/B&gt; Pamela Sanasith (lvl 10), Taylor Ann Atkins (lvl 7) and Bailey Mims (lvl 7) each broke the 36.00 All-Around barrier to lead Auburn Gymnastics Academy gymnasts at the JFJ Elite Cup this past weekend.  Sanasith, a senior at Opelika High School, finished with second place finishes on Vault (8.850), Beam (9.225), first place on Floor (9.25) and second All-Around (36.125). Atkins finished second on Beam (9.50), first on Floor (9.550) to place third All-Around (37.250) while Mims finsihed third on Beam (9.125) and third on Bars (9.350).
&lt;P&gt;In all, 23 AGA gymnasts captured 52 top-three finishes at the meet.  Those gymnasts in this 'Elite' group include:

Mills Named SEC Gymnast of the Week </title><description>&lt;i&gt;Floyds Knobs, Ind., native receives first conference honor of career &lt;/I&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&lt;B&gt;AUBURN - &lt;/B&gt;Auburn senior A.J. Mills has been named Southeastern Conference Gymnast of the Week the league office announced Tuesday. Mills receives the honor for the first time in her career. 
&lt;P&gt;Against Arkansas, Mills put on show that sent her into the record books of Auburn gymnastics as the sixth-ranked Tigers defeated No. 7 Arkansas 196.175-195.400. She claimed the all-around title with a score of 39.525, topping her previous career high of 39.500 that was established earlier in the season. Her mark also ranks among the best in the program's history, coming in fifth. 
&lt;P&gt;She won her first-ever vault title with a 9.9 and tied with senior counterpart Lindsey Puckett for the floor title with a career-high mark of 9.925. That 9.925 also ranks among the best in Auburn gymnastics history. 
&lt;P&gt;In GymInfo's Feb. 16, rankings, Mills is listed as the nation's No. 6 all-arounder. She is also ranked 14th on beam, is tied for 17th on bars, tied for 20th on vault and is tied for 21st on floor. 
&lt;P&gt;The fifth-ranked Tigers will be back in action in Beard-Eaves-Memorial Coliseum Friday with a 7 p.m., contest against Kentucky.
