"We have everything we need to train and more," Auburn gymnastics head coach Jeff Thompson said. "It is the finest facility in the country, and maybe the world. This is what other programs are going to try to top when they design new facilities."
The Gymnastics Practice Facility boasts 14,770 square feet of training area and was designed for the overall safety of the athletes. The gym's nine resi-pits and four loose foam pits make it easy to avoid hard landings during everyday training. The facility includes:
- Three vaulting areas
- Four uneven bars
- Two single bars
- A channel (trench) bar and trampoline bar station
- Seven balance beams
- Two tumbling strips
- A forty foot in-ground Tumbl-Trak
- A trampoline vault station with two in-ground trampolines
The McWhorter Center for Women's Athletics provides some of the best resources to Auburn student athletes and AGA Gymnasts and we feel that it is one of the finest facilities in the country.
